At Healthcare Ireland, we’re redefining what exceptional care looks like and we’re proud to unveil our newest flagship development: Loughshore Care Home, located in the heart of Carrickfergus. More than just a care facility, Loughshore is a luxurious, state-of-the-art living environment designed to enrich every aspect of life for its 116 residents.

For enquiries about admission to the Home we are asking that those interested discuss the potential placement with your loved one’s social worker, care manager or GP. They can help take you through the process for either a first-time admission or a move to our Carrickfergus Home from another Care Home.  

Towards the end of June 2025 we will start to accept referrals from social workers/care managers or families so that we can begin the care needs pre-admission assessment and start to compile a waiting list in advance of the opening.  Keep an eye on our website, or follow us on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn for updates.

Created for individuals living with dementia, those with complex care needs, and residents under mental health registration, Loughshore sets a new benchmark in compassionate, expert-led care and offers so much more than clinical excellence.

This village-style setting offers a unique blend of privacy, stimulation, and social interaction. Encouraging residents, their families, and team to share in a rich, fulfilling daily life.

Loughshore will be home to a dedicated team of over 200 professionals, including highly trained Registered Nurses, Care Team and Support Team. Every member of our team is committed to delivering personalised care that recognises each resident’s individual story, preferences, and needs.

Commissioned in partnership with the Northern Health Trust and developed to meet the highest standards required by the RQIA, Loughshore represents a bold step forward in transforming care in Northern Ireland.
