Kintullagh is a beautiful, purpose-built care home in Ballymena, providing 24 hour professional, person-centered care for older people.
Our home comfortably caters for up to 61 people and we remain very proud of the safe, wonderfully relaxing, home-from-home environment we have created.
The professional care and nursing team at Kintullagh are kind and friendly in their nature, and highly-trained and experienced too, ensuring the highest levels of person-centered care. We are available, around the clock, to support the needs and wishes of all of our residents, with the utmost dignity and respect. We care through listening and by following bespoke care plans, to ensure residents’ optimal health and wellbeing.
All of our private, light and spacious bedrooms are fully-furnished and with the benefit of en-suite bathroom facilities. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space with their pwn familiar items to make it their home
Kintullagh also has excellent amenities, all fully designed to cater for residents, including a café, comfortable lounges and dining spaces, in which we enable residents to maintain their independence as much as possible, in the safest possible environment.

My dad went into Kintullagh while waiting for a care package. I cannot recommend the staff enough. They made my dad feel at ease and the level of care they gave him was second to none. It made my dads time there easy and he enjoyed seeing all the staff everyday. Dad also has problems swallowing food but while he was in the home he was able to eat everything they gave him. Amazing home and amazing people.

My Mother spent the last three and a half years of her life as a resident of Kintullagh. She was treated with respect and dignity by both carers and nursing staff. Over time she formed very close bonds with many of the staff, which was lovely. The manager always addressed any small concerns I had, and I always felt assured that Mum was in safe and caring hands. The care home itself is immaculate and has good facilities both inside and out. My Mum and I spent two happy summers enjoying the gardens and sunshine, creating memories I will always remember fondly.
